PSP game recommendation
Hello all,
I've recently been informed that I am going on travel for work monday. Now I'm going to purchase a PSP which I had previously been waiting on.
I need something to keep me occupied while travelling from MD to CA.
I can only afford one game, so I'm looking for suggestions as to the one game which will keep me busy. I also assume that most of the ones in the stores still have the Spiderman 2 UMD for me to watch.
So, what game will keep me occupied for hours? Which game can you just not stop playing?
Thanks!
by the way, I started a new thread because I didn't want this to get lost in the 50pg PSP discussion thread.

It depends what type of game you like to play.
Puzzle... Lumines
Racing... Ridge Racer, Wipeout Pure, NFSU Rival
Strategy... Metal Gear Acid
Action/RPG... Untold Legend
Sports... NFL Street 2, NBA, Tiger Woods, Gretzky
Action... Ape Escape
Fighting... Dark 'something' ;-)

BTW, if you want to play the whole trip I'd just game and not watch the Spider-man UMD.
UMD movies suck the batteries dry in 2.5-3 hours from reviews I've read, so the movie would nearly drain the battery.
Should be fine to game the whole way though, just take the charger to repower before the flight back.

Thanks all!
I was actually leaning towards lumines before I started the thread, now I have some confirmation.
Also a good note about the battery and UMD movies.

Out of all the games I have:
Lumines
Twisted Metal
Tony Hawks
Wipeout
Untold Legends
I find myself playing Untold Legends the most and Tony Hawks the second most. I've played Twisted Metal and Lumines about the same amount, and I've only played Wipeout for a little bit. I can't seem to put down Untold Legends for some strange reason. It didn't get great reviews, but I'm having a lot of fun with it.

I think Untold Legends got scored lower for lack of innovation. It's just Diablo/Baldurs Gate/Champions of Norrath with a new coat of paint.
So someone that hasn't played those games, or isn't sick of the yet, will probably love it as long as they're into that type of gameplay.

Lumines. Once you get deep into Wipeout and Ridge Racers (the other two games I own), it gets frusterating and you need a break. I have not had that problem with Lumines.

thanks!
I loved Diablo but couldn't get into the other games as they were just too similar for me.
And that's not just my attitude, but rather based on comments in reviews I read saying it was just another of those games.
Like I said, anyone that is into those games should dig UL and should consider that the reviews are probably a point or two lower do to reviewers being sick of these games, and thus not be dissuaded from picking it up due to the scores.
That was the main point I was trying to make.

Untold Legends seems like a better 'travel' game to me. Lumines is great, but I don't think I could play it for several hours straight. Don't bother if you don't like Diablo/Champions of Norrath/Baldur's Gate though.
Wipeout is VERY good, but I don't think I've gotten to the 'hard' part yet, so I guess it could get frustrating.

Thanks all. Still not sure on dropping that much $$$, but I'd like to be informed if I do.

Well, luckily my walmart had a few in stock, becuase circuit city, best buy and target were all out. When I asked for it,the guy had to go into the WAY back of walmart and pull it out. Then, while he unlocked the cabinet to give me Lumines, he wouldn't let that PSP go. He held it like a running back holds a football.....I wasn't allowed to touch it until I had paid for it. I thought that was kind of funny.
Anyway, I agree that the price won't come down until after the Xmas season, and I didn't know about the Final Fantasy game, but now I'm really looking forward to it!
