Eastwood Collection Re-Releases?

Just wondering if there are new releases planned for the Eastwood collection dvds because at my wal-mart the $5.50 bin has been attacked by tons of the 'snapper case' dvds. Josey Wales, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Dirty Harry movies, Pale Rider, Heartbreak Ridge, FoxFire, Madison County, Space Cowboys, Every Which Way But Loose. So is it worth buying these for such a good price or hold out for new version?

I say buy them. There are some awesome movies among them, and you could always resell them for $3-4 if there is a rerelease, which I don't anticipate.

I was wondering the exact same thing. If there are gonna be new ones coming out, I'm gonna hold off. If not, I'm snatching as many as I can

I grabbed Firefox and The Gauntlet. I'm still looking for Where Eagles Dare, Kelly's Heroes, The Rookie, and A Perfect World. For $5.50 how can you lose?

So was the Gauntlet in your Wal-Mart bins?
I've only seen it at best buy for $5.99.

I got the first 4 Dirty Harry movies (why no "Dead Pool"?) Heartbreak Ridge, Pale Rider, and Jose Wales.
Pretty good for about $38.

Deputydave, you found the original Dirty Harry in the bin?
Anyone else find this?
All I've got is 2-4 here.
And no Gauntlet.

I also remember seeing City Heat and either Bronco Billy or Honkytonk Man, one of the two.

I picked up Outlaw Josey Wales, Every Which Way but Loose and Pale Rider last weekend at the local Walmart. Didn't see Dirty Harry but saw plenty of the other films in the series.

For someone that hasn't seen any of these, what would the general recommendation be on the best choices?

Based on IMDb ratings I'm guessing The Outlaw Josey Wales and Pale Rider are the cream of the crop.

I didn't know they could be found so cheaply either. Encouraging, although I doubt my walmart has many of them :/ May see what they offer online.

The Dirty Harry films are among my all time favorites and are probably the best cop thrillers ever (especially the first 3). The Outlaw Josey Wales and Pale Rider are both classic westerns that are must-sees if you're a fan of the genre. I would highly recommend all of those. If you love Clint Eastwood then Heartbreak Ridge is another winner, but only if you like Eastwood. As for the others, I would say check out the above mentioned ones first and if you really like those then try some of the others. The Gauntlet is a decent Dirty Harry-like action film (but not quite as good as any of the DH's). Firefox is a decent Cold War espionage/action film. City Heat kind of sucks, imo; Every Which Way But Loose is an O.K. 70's comedy; Space Cowboys was alright, kind of like Armaggedon, but not as good; The Bridges of Madison County is only tolerable if you're a woman or gay; and True Crime was a bore.

Those two are among my faves from the Eastwood westerns. You can't go wrong with any of the Dirty Harry flicks IMO (yes, even The Dead Pool.) I also think Tightrope is one of his least known and most underrated films.

Be forwarned Bridges of Madison County is FULL SCREEN ONLY. I would think a 10th anniversary edition would be a good bet for this year. It would be perfect timing to revist a "semi-classic" Oscar nominated flick, plus Eastwood is hott coming off Million Dollar Baby. I hope my WM has a ton of these so I can pick up what I need when I get extra $$$

I found Where Eagles Dare at our Walmart and snagged it along with Heartbreak Ridge. I have most of the others already.

I'd advise strongly for anyone and everyone to get the Clint Collection thats out now. Sure the snappers aren't great cases, we all know that but the transfers on most of these Clint Collection discs are astonishing!!!!

Looked through the giant bin couple days ago, nada. Went back today and the savages had churned most of the stock up from the bottom and sure enough, all of the above were available (Minus original Dirty Harry). Grabbed Where Eagles Dare. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm going to have to make a run to the other Wal-Mart tomorrow to see if I can score Kelly's Heroes and Where Eagles Dare. I really want those. Anybody come across A Perfect World or The Rookie?
