Criterion missing spine numbers (aka July releases)

Over at criterionforum.org one person is reporting to have a list of the July releases.

#292 Unfaithfully Yours (Preston Sturges) 1948 $29.95
#293 Au Revoir Les Enfants (Louis Malle) 1987 $39.95
#296 Le Notte Bianche (Luchino Visconti) 1957 $29.95
#298 Gate of Fleash (Seijun Suzuki) 1964 $29.95
#299 Story of a Prostitute (Seijun Suzuki) 1965 $29.95

Just thought I would pass along the info.

As long as this is not a (April 1) joke I will be very interested in these two, esp. the extras on the Visconti disc.

Ciao,

Story of a Prostitute is supposed to be one of Suzuki's best. I'd also pick up Au Revoir Les Enfants and Gate of Flesh. Will be another expensive month, that's for sure.

Thanks for the news. Great to see Unfaithfully Yours finally being released, and more Suzuki is always a good thing.

So finally both of Quentin Tarantino's favorite movies will have spine numbers...

Lemdog, my mother lives in Huntington. We should get together sometime.

Here is a picture of the catalog from criterion. I guess it is not a April fools joke.

The official notice was put up today at www.criterionco.com. That Gate of Flesh cover is bad ass.

I really like the Unfaithfully Yours cover. Nice to see Criterion is keeping the prices low on these titles.

That Gate of Flesh cover is just like Rashomon, in my opinion. Same colors.

It is also the only one that is $39.99. Maybe it is a August release or will be announced later

When it comes to classy, artistically provoking covers, Criterion is above reproach.

I'm the same way, but I know that when it comes to Criterion, they never disappoint. I just put in a $500 order at dvdplanet (Birthday money), and all but one of them is a blind buy.

Now, I probably wouldn't buy the majority of Criterion's titles if they weren't Criterions, but I've enjoyed each and every one I've seen in their own special way, and I know they're all important in the scope of world cinema.
