They Shoot Horses Don't They? M.G.M. release
I just noticed MGM released this on dvd late last year. I don't recall any announcements for it. So this was a complete surprise for myself.
Is it 16.9 at all? The packaging just states widescreen 2:35 with no mention of anamorphic enhancement. Meanwhile imdb.com says the dvd is enhanced.
I would like to know before I decide to pick it up. It would be nice to have it on dvd though,so I don't have to pull out the laserdisc player to watch my box set edition I have everytime I want to watch it.
The trailer is great by the way and one of the best I have ever seen. It is just as heartwrenchingly powerful as the film itself.

The MGM DVD is not anamorphic enhanced. For more info on this release you should check DVD Savant's They Shoot Horses Don't They? review. Which can be found here: http://www.dvdtalk.com/dvdsavant/s1382shoo.html

The earlier Anchor Bay is also non-anamorphic, but the AB version does contain the behind-the-scenes featurette made for the film's original release which was apparently dropped from the current MGM re-issue.
