Sweet. Two discs worth of songs. I can't wait. How much do you think retail will be? The price of a double or single album?

[edit]
Never mind. answered my own question. Here's the album description from amazon where the album is $13.98.

Cold Roses is the first of three () Ryan Adams releases this year on Lost Highway Records. September to hit this summer and 29 to hit this fall. The new release, a double CD, features Ryan's new band The Cardinals and was produced by Tom Schick. Ryan & The Cardinals recorded Cold Roses in two different sessions at Loho Studios. Ryan will be touring in the Spring, Summer and Fall. "Let It Ride" is the first single going to AAA in early April.

I can't wait to hear all 3.

his official website has a song playing which is i guess the first single. definitely upbeat, more alt-country sounding, with the full band backing of course.

only 1 week away. MAY 3

Heard it last night.

ABsolutely brilliant.

On first listen it sounds like a classic. You will not be dissapointed. It may be his best work. I take that back. It is his best work.

I saw Ryan Adams at the Viper Room about 4 years ago as a surprise guest opening for Chris Stills (Stephen Stills' son). must have only been 100 people there and it was a great acoustic set. I had no idea who he was. He then jammed at the end with Chris Stills' band along with Adam Duritz (Counting Crows) and Rami Jaffee (keyboard for the Wallflowers). Ryan was pretty tanked by this point and rather annoying to be honest - kinda like a little kid vying for attention. It was a great time though.

Yeah it leaked yesterday. Kinda late considering it comes out next week.

I've only listened to the first disc and I liked it - it sounds like his old Whiskeytown stuff.

Love it. But I love everything that he puts out, and think he's one of the great things about the state of modern rock music.

Oh my god! That is the most original joke I have ever heard! You ever think about doing stand-up?!

For any of you freakish obsessive fans, the UK version (which you can order has a bonus track called "Tonight" on it) i believe the entire UK record is on 1 disc, because the 2 U.S. discs add up to about 76 minutes.

Anyone else think Magnolia Mountain sounds like a classic rock song you've been hearing your whole life? George Harrison or Layla era Eric Clapton.

Magnolia Mountain is great, i could listen to that all day.

**also, i must have been misinformed because i can't find Rachael Yamagata singing or playing piano on any of the songs, or in the credits.**

Frank, thanks for the heads-up. Thanks to you I ordered the British CD from Amazon.co.uk. I should have it later this week.

How's life at the university? I miss the old stomping grounds, but I'm thinking of coming back for a vacation in June or July. Maybe we can get together for a beer or two when I'm home.

I just picked up the album today. It's packaged like an LP, which is pretty cool. Although two disks, it's priced the same as a single disk release.

I'm just listening to it now. Great stuff.

It's ok, I'm done in a week. Yeah, we'll have to do that. E-mail me.
Yeah, I order the UK version as well.

I saw RA & The Cards in STL last fall. They were great.

She guests on 'Cold Roses' and 'Let It Ride'.

She is listed in the credit as "our lil' sis".
