Seinfeld Season 4 DVD question

Does anybody know if the set will have the original Frank Costanza footage in any way? If it doesn't have the option of viewing 'The Handicap Spot' both ways, will people raise a Lucas-like stink over it?

what's the different footage? I wasn't aware there were two versions.

For 'The Revenge' on the Season 1&2 DVD both versions of Newman's voice were included (Larry David did the voice initially, then it was re-recorded for syndication when Wayne Knight was later cast as Newman), so I would consider it at least a possibility that the original Frank Costanza footage could be included.

The as-aired episode had a different actor as Frank, but he has been replaced with Jerry Stiller in the syndicated airings (in America, anyway).

ulan - thanks; I haven't picked them up yet, so I didn't realize they had both. That's good to know. How did they do it? Could you watch the episode with either one, or is one part of the episode and the other a bonus feature?

Just saw on CNN that Barney Martin who played Jerry's dad has died of cancer. Hope they have some more interviews to release. Sad news.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! For 10 years I've been telling people that a different actor played Frank in that episode, only to be met with blank stares & ouright derision. I even began to doubt it myself. Glad to know I'm not crazy after all. Well, about this anyway.

I'd be interested in checking it out, but if it's not included, I won't make a big fuss about it. After all, it's tough to imagine anyone else as Frank Constanza.

John Randolph: The original Frank Costanza

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0709907/

He was also Clark Griswold's father in Christmas Vacation. And yes, this footage will be on the DVD, since the DVD's are the original broadcast versions.

The Jerry Stiller footage should be on there as well, much the the previously mentioned Newman voice.
