Mame/pinmame/laptop/tv question.
Greetings all!
My computer knowledge/skills are very limited, please bear with me,and share your thoughts and advice.
If I had a laptop w/mame,pinmame,game software etc.installed on it,
could I hook it up to a 4:3 hd ready set with "compression"mode and the standard coax/composite/s video/component connections?
If so,would I be able to get the correct aspect ratio for all these different games?
I think you would need to be familiar w/the X-arcade joystick to answer the following:
Would I be able to connect an X-arcade 2 player joystick to the laptop
and control the games that way?
Could I configure the stick so the 2 side buttons would always work as the flipper buttons for pinball, and both sticks be used to control "Robotron"in the usual fashion and the left stick to control games like Donkey kong/Ladybug etc.without having to configure the stick everytime,or for every different game?
Thanx in advance for your time.
CHEERS! jefff

MAME fully supports X-Arcade as a pulldown in the Controller option, works as expected for 2 player games and games like Robotron.
X-Arcade connects to the keyboard input, so you'll need a laptop that has a keyboard input.
