Is there a Relic Hunter Season One set?

There seems some confusion with Relic Hunter for me. Some sites mention a Season one set, but think that is outdated news perhaps. Other sites meant a best of set. Even more mention fact to wait as none of them are in proper OAR. Anoney own the set that could shed light on this for me?

All I can say is I've only seen a Best of Set in stores and I seem to remember some complaint of that by fans of the series some time ago.

I see now, it was suppose to be a complete set of Season 1 but some rights issues came up on a few episodes so they changed it to a best of after Season 1 release was announced. I think there is a complete version in Europe.

Canwest place an ad on the Relic Hunter website before the show was cancelled (well, I don't really think it was cancelled, but that is a separate story) advertising a Season 1 set. Then they took orders for the set and people paid. Like 1 year later (I could be exagerating, but it was a LONG time) they wrote to everyone and said they changed it to a Best of S1 & S2 set, and then 6 more months passed, and it arrived out of the blue.

In the UK, Season 2 was released on DVD (4 2 disk colume sets from Kult TV). There is also a release in the Netherlands, but I am unsure what season as most places I looked for it did not have it in stock, most likely S2 licensed from the distrib in the UK. I also think there is a German dubbed release as well. Been a LONG time since I looked into this though.

Hope this helps some. My best guess is that there is no complete Season 1 English release yet, unless something was released over in Japan.

Hi there,

I have been searching over a year for a full release of Relic Hunter on dvd.
As you already know there isn't a complete series box set :-( BUT you can collect the episodes fro mdifferent sources.I already have the complete second season and almost all episodes(3 missing) from season 1.

Firstly I would suggest to buy the best of seasons 1 & 2 from amazon.com in order to have 22 episodes from seasons 1,2.
After you can buy from amazon.co.uk these sets:

1.http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...768470-9963035
2.http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...768470-9963035
3.http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...768470-9963035
4.http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...768470-9963035
5.http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...768470-9963035

With these sets and the best of you will have ALL second season and some of the first. In order to have and the other season 1 episodes you have to buy the box set of 3 dvd's from Netherlands for only 9.99 here :

http://www.freerecordshop.com/pages/...oductid=637748

If you buy all these sets you will have the complete second season and you will be missing only 3 episodes from season 1.

Finally if you want to buy one of the 3 missing episodes you can buy a dvd release from Japan. If you want the Japanesse url let me know.

Hope this help you !
