Ted Leo acoustic concert now online

Hi guys, just wanted to let you know that our acoustic session with indy icon Ted Leo is now up for viewing.

The man behind "Shake the Sheets" belts out his hits, including an exclusive rendition of Kelly Clarkson's "Since You've Been Gone" that he's only played once...and it was for us. It's fantastic. Never heard it before, but now it's stuck in my head for eternity.

Good stuff, check it out. If you have any problems viewing, let me know.

Online at:

(On a side note, for fellow Flogging Molly fans, I came *this* close to getting them in the studio. Two of them came down with strep throat, but we'll get 'em next time they come through NYC.)

(On another side note, our editor for the Ted Leo interview is the co-creator of Greg the Bunny, returning to IFC shortly).

Thanks for the info... TL/Pharmacists are one of my favorite bands. I'll check it out tonight.

sounds good...I have to start listening to his material since once the contracts are signed, TL/P are headlining the outdoor radio station festival/concert at my school in May...

I'm very late seeing this, but it's excellent and I'm seeing TL live tonight for the second time this year. Excellent acoustic session, job well done!

P.S. So this is where his famous version of Since U Been Gone was recorded.

Blast from the past; glad you enjoyed it. This performance turned into a huge phenomenon. The NY Times even ended up writing about it. Coincidently enough, I was watching the raw footage last week. He actually couldn't remember the words in the beginning, he had to keep asking his wife for the lyrics. It was completely a spur of the moment thing, he had never played it before and wasn't planning to for us, but it was something that was stuck in his head so he gave it a shot. Lucky for both him and us that he did; he got a huge amount of publicity off this.

Our session with Nada Surf goes up next week. Our attempt to have them record an Ashlee Simpson song was unsuccessful .
