Just wondering, is there any word on a Passion - collector's dvd?
There were thoughts that Mel Gibson could bring a collector's dvd set out sometime.
Just wondering if there were any announcements?
I scanned digitalbits but didn't see any so wanted to ask. I wanted to buy the film but haven't yet so not sure if I should wait or not.

There had been rumors (which I thought were confirmed by Gibson?) that we'd have a SE by Easter. Looks like that ain't gonna happen.
Definitely not announced yet, and I haven't even heard rumblings in a while. I suspect that the sales for the first DVD are still suprisingly strong, so they'll hold back until that drops off.

Anyhow, I was hoping for this too. I held off on buying the original as it was just barebones. I think they might release a new version with the re-cut, but the re-cut just reduces violence. Maybe there'll be a set with both versions + extras?

We're waiting for the Pope to recover so he can bless the CE copies as they are shipped.
...But seriously, I could see an edition with the Recut presented with seamless branching, maybe? Or maybe two different editions? Nobody knows.
