Anyone have "Fight Night Round 2" for Gamecube?
Is it worth it just for "Super Punch Out"? because I don't think I am even interested in the real game. Thanks.

You could probably find a SNES and the game for less.

Okay I played it a bit and it is going to take some major practice to adjust to the analog fighting. I never played the last Fight Night so I have to catch up. The Nintendo C stick is really not very good for a game like this though it is useable. I can see how this would be much much better on the PS2 with its better analog stick. Great looking game and I can see how the fighting style is much like real boxing. You have to move and jab and set up your big punches. It just feels more like real boxing the way you move and punch, back up and block , move back in and go for a big punch and so on. The fighters look amazing and the way the hits sound and look is very cool.
Super Punch Out is definitely a nice extra, but again you have to play it with that tiny digital pad on the Cube so that is a bit of a bummer. Granted they couldn't really make it work with the analog and I played the original Punchout just fine with the Cube's pad. The game itself seems like an emulation. The sound is just off, kind of how emulated games always end up sounding. Everything else seems identical to the original SNES game.
Considering I picked it up pretty cheap at GameRush with their trade in deal I'm not complaining.

I wonder if one of these controller adapters:

would enable easier gameplay in the GC version?

I use a PS2 controller while playing on my Gamecube and love it. I really only play my cube for Resident Evil but I imagine these adapters would help you out greatly if your playing Fight Night. I have the last fight night game for XBOX and both their controller and the PS2 controller work wonderful for it.
