Where's that R1 "Bridge Too Far" SE?

About a year or so ago, there came rumors that MGM was working on a Bridge Too Far SE release for R1. Whatever happened with that title?

Also, I was thinking that this is one movie that could really benefit from a Lowry Digital restoration. The current print is very soft and washed out with lots of scratches, dirt, and just in general a lousey tranfer. Plus it's only in 2.0 sound. A fully remastered 5.1 track would be greatly appreciated.

So has anybody ever heard anything more about this title?

Is there an SE in another region? If you know, what's on it in the way of extras?

Well, I believe there is a R2 version. As far as extras go, I have no idea. But I still stick with my previous assessment, that this movie definately needs a digital restoration.
