Final classic '80s series coming to DVD (Airwolf)

From TVShowsOnDVD:

Our friends at The Digital Bits website have posted news today that includes a mention of DVDs for Airwolf, along with an upgrade to the DVD of a popular film. Here's what they said:

By the way, Universal has let it be known that Airwolf: Season One and The Big Lebowski Special Edition are on the way. Street dates and features are TBA.

We extend our thanks to the staff over there for the heads-up! This show was created by Don Bellisario, who has worked as Writer, or Director, or Producer, or Executive Producer, or Creator (or any combination of the above) on such other Universal-owned titles as Kojak, Battlestar Galactica, Magnum P.I., and Quantum Leap. Since all of those are out or planned for DVD, it makes sense that Airwolf would join the party, too. Bellisario is also behind current primetime hits N.C.I.S. and the long-running JAG, which are owned by another studio and not yet planned for DVD (the latter due to a syndication deal which precludes a home video release).

Jan-Michael Vincent and Ernest Borgnine starred in the first three season of this classic 1984 series about a hi-tech attack copter that was stolen and taken to Libya, only to be taken back by Stringfellow Hawke (Vincent), who then used the copter in a series of special missions given to him by "The Firm", in return for their help in tracking down his long-lost brother, who went MIA in Viet Nam.

This word about DVD plans is good news for a highly anticipated item! Stay tuned and we'll keep you posted on about this DVD release as developments occur.
Looks like this series ran for 4 seasons. Apparently the first season was a mid-season replacement that started airing in January '84 and only ran through April with just 12 episodes. However the 2nd ('84-'85) and 3rd ('85-'86) seasons ran 22 episodes each, with the 4th ('86-'87) season running 24 episodes.

GREAT news, but it's not the "final classic 80's series" to be released on DVD...what about The Fall Guy?!
