Heat: A Crime Epic
but seriosuly, this movie is great. imo, it is a truly epic crime thriller that should be seen at least once by everyone, especially if you like Deniro (Goodfellas), Pacino (Godfather) or Michael Mann (Collateral). Thats my two cents.

Obviously you are...
Look, if you're serious about posting here, drop the gangsta talk right now.
FWIW, I do agree on your view of the movie, but the way you post may lead some to believe that you are just here to hype the film's release on DVD.

I believe Master Shake 05 just wants to post anything everywhere to "up" his post count
And yes Heat was a good movie but my Motha was not rocked by it.

In all seriousness though, Heat is in the top circle of my favorite movies of all time. How is the new release? Worth buying if you own the original release?

When my Heat SE arrives, I'm gonna show it to my motha.
I'll take some photos while she's watching so you can all see whether she rocks or not.
This will be my first piece of empirical film research. Wish me luck everyone!

Yeh, the HEAT: SE is sweet. Not that many features, but when you've got such a badass flick + a michael mann commentary on the first disc, its bound to be a knockout
EDIT - oh, and about the video, its great. Not up to the quality of new releases, but far above what most reviews have been saying. Just makes me more dissapointed in IGN...

When you start a thread, please do not treat it like a chat room. We do not need shout outs, we do not need roll dices and we don't need a "EVERYONE WHO LIKES ____ PRESS 111111111" threads. When starting a thread please try to provide as much substance as possible as it is web space you are using and it is your soap box that you are screaming from. Make it count.
In saying that. I loved Heat. It was filmed around my neighborhood for many of its shots and this is the first film I got to see be filmed and did spark the interest in which would later be my career. Sure it's not in the glory and still below the line. But that expiernce was great.
The downtown shoot out has to go down as one of my ultimate favorite scenes in a movie. the link is dead right now, but the link in my signiture was to a picture of that scene.
The acting is top notch and the story was very compelling. It also had portman, so perhaps you are really Dalvin?
oh and... w00t w00t, Hellz yeah my nignug!

DVD Talk Limited Edition
This is the most retarded thread I've read in a long time. Why is it continuing, especially in the Movie Forum, since this has been mostly about the DVD release and not the movie itself?
