Ugh. It sounds like the SE is going to be little more than a tie-in to Peter Jackson's new film.

Hope it has more than that. Love Peter Jackson, but leave this for his Kong movie DVD...Interview Ray Harryhausen for God's sake...

good news on the rest....this one is my most wanted....i'll take it however it comes, but hope we get more than a Peter Jackson promo dvd

Four Disc Ben Hur is great too. I never have had the chance to see the silent version, so this is a must own. Great news

I was always wondering what hip-hop artists thought of Scarface & New Jack City.

Now, my life is complete.

The scarface one never really made sense, but New Jack is at least about the kind of life some of these rappers actually claim to have grown up in. At least this seem to be in the context of the film.

Personally will not be buying any of these but oh well. Was hoping to hear some news on one of my favorites Point Blank.
Supposedly read elsewhere The Wild Bunch: SE was pushed back. Do not ask me if this is legit just was said somewhere else and seems it could come to fruition.

The current Wizard of Oz disc is pretty good, so I will probably not double dip. King Kong sounds nice though.

I'll hold off on getting Wizard of Oz to see how the movie looks because I think the current one looks pretty damn good.

King Kong and Ben Hur are must haves. As mentioned, hopefully KK is more than just a bunch of tie-ins to the remake but it'll be great just to have the movie.

I've heard rumors of Wizard of Oz getting the "ultra-resolution" treatment, I hope this is the case.

I was hoping that they would include Son of Kong in the 2 disc set. They certainly could have.....

I imagine the reason behind have Jackson on the Kong disc is that materials to make featurettes are a little hard to come by given the films age.

I'll, of course buy it!

I can't believe they didn't get Van Peebles to sit down for a commentary.

And what about the infamous deleted scenes on THE OUTSIDERS?

I believe the "specs" are not complete. Warner has been placing great commentary tracks on their 2-discers and I am sure that these will be no different.

My sentiments as well. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot on the Wizard of Oz release that isn't on the original, other than some fluff. Maybe a good commentary will be added. But these Warner 2-discers seldom diappoint. I will definitely be upgrading Ben Hur, and look forward to finally having King Kong.

From: Right now, my location is DVDTalk, but then again, you should already know that, shouldn't you?
Well God forbid we just get, oh I don't know, THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY and/or FEARLESS and/or ARTHUR and/or the GRUMPY OLD MEN series in anamorphic widescreen!!! Sheesh, Warner, fix your old sins first! I'll grab the NEW JACK CITY and WIZARD OF OZ ones easily, though...

...he he, it's kind of funny to see NJC and WoOz in the same sentence...

Def King Kong for me.

Would double dip on Wizard of Oz only if it included a secondary audio track with Dark Side of the Moon. (and that ain't happenin')
