Listening to it now, great stuff, will definitely be picking this up on the 1st. I'm surprised he's been able to fill another album with quality songs, my respect for him as an artists has definitely gone up. It will be interesting to see where he goes from here

I am really looking forward to this (been avoiding the leaked tracks). The snow has come back to my little area of the world, so what better time for a new Jack Johnson release?

If you pre-order it directly from him here, the CD comes with a DVD featuring "the making of 'Sitting, Waiting, Wishing' music video and other video clips" (limited quantities, though - they may be out). Anyone know if this DVD will be packaged with the regular retail version?

There's a PM feature, but I'm not able to use it for some reason. So, I tried dropping you an email, but you've prohibited any incoming emails.

Could you possibly email me at [email protected] to let me know?

Thanks, btw.

Can't wait. He's one of my fav's. Check out this for some GREAT live music:

Here's the best show:

Great quality and he talks about the songs.

I even picked up a used copy of Brushfire Fairytales and sent it to a friend. He loved it!!

He's got a bunch of shows on the Archive. One of these days I'll get them all.

The new album will be $9.99 at Best Buy, Target, and Circuit City this week. Best Buy is offering an exclusive download of a live version of "Fall Line" with purchase.

If you like Jack try out Glen Phillips, Mason Jennings, & early Jason Mraz. I'm also a huge fan of Big Head Todd & The Monsters - there are some great concerts. There are soooo many concerts I have yet to download.

I would agree with Mason Jennings, although their voices are drastically different. When they play together on stage and sing together/harmonize, their voices blend together nicely.

Not so sure I'd agree with the others, but they do have an acoustic-based sound.

I would throw G. Love into the mix, though. G. Love can be all over the place with his sound, and can definitely be more funky and upbeat. But stripped down G. Love may be of interest to some Jack Johnson fans. "Rodeo Clowns", incidentally, was co-written by Jack and G. Love.

Well, I picked it up this morning and have listened to it twice, although not actively. I like it a lot, but I prefer the Handsome Boy Modeling School version of "Breakdown" (it was interesting to hear him outside of his regular sound).

Been a G. Love fan ever since his first (major label) album and that's how I was exposed to Jack Johnson. "Rodeo Clowns" first appeared on G. Love's Philadelphonic album. He's one of my favorites.

Definitely check out Donovan Frankenreiter, his style is very similar to Johnson's, sounds like his protege. Laid back guitar and smooth melodies remind me of "On and On" and "In Between Dreams." Johnson actually accompanies him on the second track of his self-title album.

for the longest time I thought Jack Johnson and John Mayer were the same person. not a big fan of either, unfortunately.

Better than the second, up there with the first which was a classic IMO. Pick it up for $9.99, so worth it, will put you in a good mood, lovin' it.

I agree. His first is indeed a classic and hard to top. I thought On and On was just good. The new one ranks comfortably in between.

I love the "welcome to my website" song that plays when you first go to his site.
