DVD Talk review of 'All About Lily Chou Chou'
I read Kim Morgan's DVD review of All About Lily Chou Chou at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=14429 and...
I was wondering about a couple of things. Firstly how much did HVE pay for the review? And secondly did the reviewer actually look at the disc at all? It doesn't actually have DD5.1 and even without This comparisons the transfer is obviously poor. The black level is far from perfect and it's not sharp and detailed.
What a crock.

Good god... that's the new transfer?!? It looks as bad as the Panorama disc I traded away a few months ago!
I'm glad I did a Netflix rental before buying this (on the way), and I'll confirm (or hopefully deny) that those screengrabs are an accurate representation as soon as possible... but damn. It appears that the search for a decent DVD of this flick (with English subs) continues.
