MVP Baseball 2005 is $29.99

Sorry if this is old news, but a search didn't turn anything up. I just noticed the new version is being released at $29.99. I played last year's game all the time - probably my favorite console baseball game yet. This version has the new hitter's eye feature, which looked like it might be interesting after watching the trailer. So anyway - just a heads up on the low price.

I might get this if ESPN 2k5 isn't $19.99.

Gamestop stores are doing a deal for MVP Baseball 2005 purchases. If you trade in any 2005 EA Sports title (Madden 2005, NCAA Football 2005, etc) for a $20 credit towards MVP, meaning you can get MVP for $9.99. I checked eBay and NCAA Football and NBA Live 2005 are both going for around $20. So the credit from Gamestop will be basically the same without all the eBay hassle. Anyway that's the route I'm going and I'm just passing it on. Call you local Gamestop first. One of mine in town wasn't doing it, but other was.

From what I've been reading MVP looks to be shaping up as a much better game. Unless you're really down on EA for their recent sleezy activity it might be worth it to spend the extra 10 bucks....
