American Idol - 2/9 - Groups

Didn't the commericals show a black girl shaking (like a nervous attack) being held up by 2 of her group members and them saying something like she is having trouble breathing or something.... I swear I saw it in the previews, but didn't see anything like that tonight

I guess they cut that part because they wanted to spend half the show on the 3 guys who couldn't remember their words and the bitch fest with the 3 females instead. Plus that Ambulance shot that was in the previews was there, but for the 16 year olds mom.

They didn't show a lot of the good people that we know. They didn't show everybodys favorite so far (the straight Clay Aiken). The black dude with the short dreads from New Orleans. The farm girl, black jennifer garner, and the southern girl Linday Cardinale who's my favorite.

Also on the previews did i see that little 16 year old girl who looks like a little boy, the one that sounds like a munchkin still there?? If so, i'm shocked.

Marlow's muscle from the wire? Yes he/she was there.

BTW, the Paula/Simon argument was basically Paula crying because she was outvoted. (Paula LOVES the gay black dancer types)

She was pissing and moaning to the producer that Simon didn't like the guy, whom they did not identify, and the producer looked oddly at her and said, "Well, it's still two against one."

It's the same story with the contestants every time. Some just don't work well with others. I was actually getting angry watching the female group that had a few parents in the room. Jeez, go away! When one of the young girls asked them to leave for a while, one mother snapped, ""I ain't leaving because of that, I'll be back!".

How the hell did those three fucktards at the end make it through?

They were easily the worst of the bunch, that one guy forgot the whole goddamned song and just stood there. And they let all three of them through? I watched them and said they should just walk off the stage and not even stand there and let the judges tell them to fuck off.

Can't really stand Scott's personality when the camera is on him for sound bites, talk about a bloated sense of self-importance.

I'm so upset -- I didn't realize the show was an hour later today and I ended up recording the wrong thing.

Who are the 3 guys who couldn't remember the words?

And could someone please tell me what happened with Constantine, Bo, and the 3rd "rock" guy? Are they all still in?

*edit*
Just read elsewhere that Constantine's still in, but not sure about Bo and Aaron(?).

Aaron (Andrew WK) got booted, Constantine got through, and I don't think they even showed Bo, so his current status is unknown.

That sixteen-year-old whose mom has health problems has the potential to be the next "Hillary Duff" style performer.

Spoiler:
However, from the previews it looks like she might be cut.

I think we got a look for the first time last night that Simon's actually a pretty nice guy, and it's Paula who can be "bitchy" at times (people who have been on the show have always said Simon's a lot nicer that he comes off and Paula's a lot meaner than she comes off). That was great TV...I'm glad they allowed that to air.

I'm also glad they let the last three guys through...they have personality and seem to have decent voices (when they are actually singing!) - and that's more than can be said for some of the people that got through last night. I worry about the guy who forgot all the words (the heavy set fellow) - he had so much stage fright up there, the same thing may happen to him again next week...and I don't think the judges will give out TWO free passes to anyone, no matter what the judges think of their potential.

That skinny Asian looking chick that just sat on her duff ticked me off, but my wife was upset at the way that the other two were treating her. We had a little arguement about that before they got on stage.

And then when it was over and the dust settled, she was booted and the other two were put through to the next round.

Her partner was right, "If you can't learn the lyrics to a new song in three days, then what business do you have of being here?"

I gloated.

The ousted chick's comments were amusing, and she couldn't understand why she didn't get another free pass (like on Tuesday's show).

... as for the last three, I would have dumped them all for being goofs, but y'all are right, they have personality.

And despite singing out of his genre, Constantine did rather well.

I love this show.

This is the first season Ive ever gottent o watch it, and I wouldn't ahve turned it on at all if not for my current girlfriend.

I'm finding myself getting angry at the TV when someone I Like gets booted off.

It looked like a diva fit to my girlfriend and I. Paula didn't get what she wanted so she starts yelling. They need to boot her off the show cause she's getting annoying. She's pulled the same act for the last couple of weeks. Frankly, I don't think most people would care if they replaced Paula with some other has-been pop star...but the show would suck if Simon wasn't there.

He has a "unique" personality, kind of reminds me of the lead singer from the movie "The Commitments". He wasn't good looking, a personality of a turnip and egocentric but he had a beatiful voice. That's exactly what I see in him.

I wanna say his name is Dennis Brown. I was watching for him too, as he and Anwar are my "favs" thus far. They showed 'Dennis' for a second in the previews, so he musta gotten through.

I'd like to see these two, and Constantine, make it to the main show. (Const doing dance steps!! "That arm snap has ta be sharper!" LOL! But he held his own!)

That kid was 16 when they made that movie. Unbelievable voice.

Not to get this thread offtopic but...

What!!! I did not know that. In the movie, he looks like he is in his mid twenties.

You can already tell who (well, what type of singer) is going to win.

They won't mess with success---a local DJ just said that Fantasia just went platinum. Anyone heard from the chubby girl that everyone said was better than her last season?

Diana Digarmo (sp) debut album didn't do quite well if I remember correctly. I had to dig out the article which it indicates that it wasn't the success that previous AI alummni did.

My local affiliate cut out immediately after their performance was over, and I didn't get to see their judgement. I obviously know that Savol made it through, but what about the other two? My guess is the older bald white guy did not make it, but the tall black guy, whom I thought was good, did make it through.

I don't remember ANYBODY saying Diana was better than Fantasia. In fact, the general consensus was that she should have gotten the boot LONG before the final two.
