Oasis.. U.S. tour 2005?
I noticed on the band's official website, that they are going to be playing Madison Square Garden(I'm shocked....will they be able to fill it) in May I believe. Any chance this might mean that the Gallagher brothers might be touring more of the U.S. as well(Like L.A.)? Please God, let it be true. Liam can't sing like he use to, but the energy at an Oasis concert is like none I've ever been to. Simply incredible.

They're playing MSG (with Jet opening) on June 22nd. There's also been reports about them playing in Toronto on June 17th, so maybe a small US tour is in the works. They have their massive stadium shows in the UK in late June, early July, so a small US tour as a warm up would make some sense. I wouldn't be surprised if they add a few more dates, they usually stop in L.A. every time they tour the US.
By the way, the new single is rumored to be out in late March, though nothing has been announced yet. That means the first radio play of the single in the UK could be later this month.

It pisses me off. Liam has royally screwed himself over. I hate the fact that Bonehead and Guigsy and now Alan are all gone. It now makes the band look like The Gallaghers and hired help. I hate how Liam has scrwed his voice up so much that he sounds so bad live and on record(He sounds like shit on "Born on a Differnt Cloud" I can't even listen to it). It's pathetic. WHY????? The songs are still great and if Liam had still kept his voice from the "Morning Glory" days this band would still be huge. I actually saw them at Maine Road in 1995, and I have to saw that was the best show I have ever been to(U2 included).Liam sang so well, could hit all the notes,it was amazing. Then, Liam had to keep drinking, smoking, not listen to his doctors and now he sounds like a fucking larengectomy patient singing Rock N Roll. When I saw them in 2000 in Los Angeles, Liam sounded like shit, the band sounded great. Noel sounded great. The songs were ace, but as one their songs asks, "Where Did It All Go Wrong". Why Liam? If he only acted more like Noel and just listen to his smarter brother this band would be better off today.Stupid Liam(but I still love Oasis).

I'll probably check the Chicago show out (of course if I am here) to see where they stand now...but the last tour I saw at the Chicago Theater (I think it was 3 years ago?) was not good at all. I have seen 4 shows by them and they have declined from the first to the last one. Plus I would like to see Jet as well, they had a few decent songs on their album.

there's a chance I'll go to Detroit and Chicago.
I'm planing to go to the US Grand Prix at Indy and it's that weekend. So Practise Sat afternoon for the Race, then 300 miles to Detroit, watch oasis and 300 miles back to Indy. Could be a stretch though.
in that sense Chicago may work better, and I can stay with a friend on the sunday night, probably cheaper flights in to Chicago as well

I'm going to see if I can go to the Chicago show. It's a 7.5 hour drive to Rockford where I can stay with a friend. I just wish the show was on the weekend. Oh Well. I've seen them in St. Paul and Detroit - I'm looking forward to Chicago.

at whicvh point Liam's voice will be even worse. If you were one of the lucky people who saw them between '94 and '97 consider yourself very lucky.
I heard they are going to be playing at the House of Blues in Hollywood

Anybody get tickets for the Boston show? It's not showing up on ticketmaster yet, and when I tried to get them through the official site, it appeared that there wasn't much left. Not even two tickets together. WTF?

OASIS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM AND SINGLE DETAILS!
7 March 2005
On May 16th 2005 Oasis return with a brand new single entitled ‘Lyla’. The track is taken from the band’s hugely anticipated new album entitled ‘Don’t Believe The Truth’, which follows two weeks later on May 30th on Big Brother Recordings.
Noel Gallagher believes that ‘Lyla’ is a true Oasis classic. ''It's The Who. ‘Lyla’ was specifically designed for pogoing. We wrote 66 tracks and ‘Lyla’ was one that we revisited late on and it's ended up on the album. I’m happy with every track on the album.”
‘Don’t Believe The Truth’ is the sixth Oasis studio album – their first since the number one multi-million selling ‘Heathen Chemistry’, released in 2002.
Crowning what will be an extraordinary 2005, Oasis will embark on an extensive world tour that includes nine huge shows in the UK – including seven stadium gigs. Tickets for these dates sold out in record time, even challenging the speed with which they sold out their legendary Knebworth shows of 1996. Oasis have just added shows in Newcastle and Ireland in the face of phenomenal demand. Further UK and European dates to be announced soon.
Furthermore, Oasis will return to North America for the first time since 2002, playing their biggest US shows to date. Their show at the legendary 14,000 capacity Madison Square Gardens in New York on 22nd June sold out in an hour. Check out the tour page for all the dates!
Make sure you keep checking back to oasisinet over the next couple of weeks for more exciting announcements!!!!!

I for the most part don't like stadium shows, I'm trying to get the time and money to see them at this year's V2005 Music Festival in Chelmsford, England in August.
