It was cute once or twice. "See, 2K1 is a cool way of saying 2001. Get it? GET IT? Those wacky gamers will love it!"
But here in 2005 they're still doing it. And it's not cute or funny anymore, it's just annoying.
That's it, I don't have much more to say. I was bored.

Yeah, what's their problem, trying to abbrievate things to make it easier to say/write. They need to spell it all the way out, so there's no cofusion. National Football League Two-Aught-Aught-Five, now there's the ticket.

Typically, when you start a franchise, you try to stay consistent. Although, when Sega Sports switched over to ESPN Videogames, they dropped the 2K title for that year.

I could see some company switching to roman numerals at that point: MMX

Um, 2K whatever is how they name their games. Who cares. It's a branding thing...they don't just change their name constantly cause that confuses customers. With all these licensees being bought up though, you might see a reduction in some of these games anyway. I'll tell you this, there won't be a NFL 2K6.
But seriously, is it necessary to call those damn football games Madden? It was cute at first, but now I'm just sick of him!
