Racing Stripes vs. Hot to Trot

Which do you think is better about comedy horse racing?
It's not Mr. Ed, but I like Hot to Trot voiced by John Candy better.

Even at the end of Richard Dreyfuss's movie Let it Ride the horse from Hot to Trot was shown.

I've never seen it, but Hot To Trot was a huge bomb when it came out, critically and financially.

Hot to Trot was awful, but in a good way. I'd watch it again if it came on cable. I don't have any desire to see racing stripes.

Isn't Racing Stripes more geared toward children? I'm not certain what the target audience of Hot to Trot was, I only know it missed by a mile.

Racing Stripes was ok. Funny, but I'll stick with Hot-to-Trot

Here's the difference:

RACING STRIPES made me want to shoot myself in 2005.

HOT TO TROT made me want to shoot myself in 1988.

I seem to remember Hot to Trot being one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Racing Stripes sounds like it could be up there too.

Hot to Trot gets bonus points for having the young, lucious Virginia Madsen in it. Of course, it loses half those points for being one of the few films of the 80s where Madsen does not display her lovely breasts.

I have no interest in Racing Stripes. But I would buy Hot to Trot on dvd in a second! The majority of my favorite childhood/early teen favorites are out now with the exception of Monster Squad and Hot to Trot.
