Has any new news surfaced on the details of this actor's 2003 suicide?

Didn't they basically conclude that he was severely depressed over his lack of work? Many teen idols have this problem after they stop working excessively in their early years. Brandis wasn't a big star, but he did have alot of films under him (Neverending Story II, Ladybugs, Sidekicks) and a show he prominently starred in (Seaquest). It's hard to accept that you might be in a long slump and may never get back to where you once were.

That was part of it. I've heard that he was also depressed over his first directing job, because he felt that he couldn't get the film to work the way he wanted it to.

He had that bit part in Dumb & Dumber on that TV commercial Harry & Lloyd were blubbering over in the hotel. That's fame.

I didn't know he had died until a week ago, when I was talking to a friend of mine about the book/TV series It, and he said Bill Denborough killed himself. I was stunned.

His acting style reminds me of the girl who played Becky on TV's Roseanne. They could have been siblings (I know Brandis was an only child, but they really did resemble one another).
