Ghost Recon 2 - Ps2 or Xbox
All -
I just got an Xbox for Xmas (I already had a PS2).
Recently I received a copy of GR2 for the PS2.
Question: What are the pros/cons of keeping & playing the PS2 version versus exchanging it for the XBox version?
Thanks in advance.

Haven't played it yet, but I'd imagine if you like to play games online vs others, the xbox version would be far superior for that.
Not sure ont he actual gameplan or graphics, but I'd assume they'd be pretty similar.

For those that loved single-player GR in the past, it has been significantly changed, to the point to where many think it's a worthless purchase.
EDIT: I just checked gamerankings' average scores. It seems that calling the Xbox version simply the better choice was an underwhelming description...
Xbox = 83%
PS2 = 59%
Red Storm developed the Xbox game. Ubisoft Shanghai was given the PS2 game.
Again, these are different games under the GR2 label, not one game ported to the other machine.

Common theme with all of the Ghost Recon games(Xbox vs. PS2)
PS2 version always sucks according to any review I have seen via IGN.COM, EGM, etc. Have not actually played the PS2 versions.
The Xbox versions I own(Ghost Recon and GR Island Thunder) are top notch. Have not played Ghost Recon 2 as of yet.

Well , the xbox version is far superior compared to the ps2 version. The xbox one is an excellent title and i did not pick up the ps2 personally , we had a lot of tradeins for it at work. Many said the graphics and frame rate were horible and it felt more confined then on the xbox.

Well, I prefer the Xbox version, I had both and didn't like the PS2's gameplay. However, if that seems biased to you (since I do some Xbox PR, I can understand people being dubious of my choices <grin>), I think the reviews probably speak for themselves
Xbox Version - 83%
PS2 version -59.5%

I own both XBOX and PS2 versions. Storyline is different (different years). Missions are different. Team commands are somewhat different. Xbox version is better overall. PS2 version is so sluggish (frame rate is so slow) that walking/running/crawling looks funny. I also noticed that in the PS2 version that there is no delay when selecting a different weapon from your inventory. XBOX version have that delay and prefer it that way.
Anyway, I finished the XBOX single player campaign last night. :-) Traded the PS2 version a while back after finishing just the first mission. :-(
