One interesting point of note is that, on checking the discs, we discovered a tiny glitch in the Psirens episode, just at the start of chapter 6. A digital, mix-like transition between a Starbug shot and the cockpit, barely two frames long, that we'd never noticed before (see the whacky picture). Was this some kind of problem with the transfer?

Apparently not - it turns out that the same peculiar pixilation appeared on all broadcast versions of the episode, as well on the old VHS release! We'd never noticed it before, but DVD clarity has made it more visible. Still, as part of our ongoing commitment to releasing original versions on DVD, it will remain on the disc. You may now run off to check your VHS tapes.

More DVD Details will follow soon...

Okay... now that we have V and Vi... did anyone look for the glitch? Guess what, i think it was removed from the US version or at least the DVD's all together. They said they would leave it but i went frame by frame and saw NOTHING. Yes I was bored.

Hi. Has anyone noticed an audio glitch in the Rimmerworld eps in the jail cell? Rimmer is speaking about trying to escape and being sold back in "in a minute". At that point, it sounds volumne seem to change and there seems to be an echo.
Thanks

Yup, your right john. It does have a glitch, at least on my copy it does. It jitters back and forth for 1 second and goes back to normal. SMEGGIN HELL!

Im going to go to BBC America's site and send them an email. They are usually REALLY Good about getting back to people. Ive had problems in the past and they get back to me within a day or two.

Havent confirmed yet... but EE on Series 6.

On the main screen move to 'Commentary' then move to your left to highlight 'Airlock'. It will then go on to a screen where you have to enter a number combination on the keypad 'Ginger Toupee' being the clue enter 1742 (Space Corps Directive) to reveal a hidden easter egg entitled 'Memory Man'.

Would the glitch be on the UK DVDs as well or just the R1?

Another EE for Series 6.

Have to access this one with the intro to the menu playing on Disc 1. After your POV goes into the Starbug and you go through the first airlock door, there's a button on the right side of the doorway. Select as soon as it turns red, then you'll go into the mid-section with a planetoid map. "You Are Here" gives you test Starbug cockpit footage. SVC01 gives you Starbug computer graphics for programming Rimmer's light bee with form and personality traits from Psirens; SVC02 gives you the player selection screens from Gunmen of the Apocalypse.

The Glitch appears to be only US versions. The webmaster of Reddwarf.co.uk is going to report this issue to WB for us. Woot!
