Movies about eyes of the storm
I just re-watched The Iron Giant earlier and I was curious about the alternate opening - they said that the eyes of the storm is a very eerie experience, but I believe I never saw one in a movie before. Is there's any movie that has those scene?

Yeah in Twister Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt tie themselves to a pipe sticking up from the ground and this pipe holds them together in the middle of an F5 tornado. When I was younger and first saw this in theatres I thought it was the coolest thing. When I saw it the other day, I thought it was the most ridiculous scene ever.

Especially since the only thing holding them was a flimsy leather strap.

Perfect Storm shows it visually. Although it is totally unrealistic.
Having been through far too many of them I can tell you that it is an eerie experience. Winds are howling and there is constant noise and then nothing. No birds no insects no winds just absence of noise. That is is the eye is very well formed, if it isn't then there might be some light wind. Of course most of the time the winds coming up are stronger so it is not a safe time to be out at all. Several people have died venturing out during the eye only to be slamed by the wall of wind following it.

I don't believe they go to the eye of the storm in The Perfect Storm, they go
