TiVo Season Pass already set up. Looking forward to it, though I'm not really sure what to expect.

Series premiere? I pretty much only watch ESPN for football/NFL Countdown and skip commercials. I thought it was just a movie?

I'm not sure what to expect, but I enjoyed Lehman in Judging Amy as well as those first episodes of Century City, Chris Bauer was fantastic in The Wire, and of course, Madsen is good in everything he does.

ESPN's series and films have been on the edge between really good and over-the-top so far, and I guess we can expect the same thing here.

And fortunately there is no equivalent in poker to the NFL so if it does well, it will continue.

Century City - wow, I forgot all about that show. How long did it last? 3 weeks?

The Tivo's set, I think it looks great. I enjoyed the hell out of Rounders, so I'm thinking it'll be good. Madsen's great also, I don't think I'll be disappointed.

Does anybody know if it'll be broadcasted in HD?

I'll be watching but it probably won't be as good as Lucky on FX was and that didn't last more than a short season

It may not be as good as Lucky (personally, I thought Lucky was just okay - couldn't really figure out what it was trying to be), but I guarantee it will draw far better ratings than Lucky. They probably aren't comparable either - there wasn't much poker in Lucky.

Is this like Playmakers but with poker? Mike and Mike were pimping it quite a bit this morning.

I'll put it on the Tivo and see how it is.

Ah, never watch Judging Amy, but Century City rings a bell (I think her hair was always pulled back on that show).

If I recall, she was genetically engineered to be an uptight stiff or something.

Very unimpressive first episode.

Other then Madsen the cast is very bland and none of the characters are very interesting so far.

I liked it, I'm gonna keep watching. I got a kick out of the one-liners.
"I wipe my ass with 8 grand, 9 if I had chili."
