There's Collectorz.com Game Collector but I don't know how good it is and I'm pretty sure it's not free.
I personally use ListPro by Ilium Software. It's a general list making program. It's got Windows, PalmOS and PocketPC versions of the software. It's simple but nice.

As soon as I saw this thread I was like "I'm gonna slap the first person that mentions Guzzlefish "
I use IGN's (link \/ ), and it's OK, just not a lot of customization, and I'd love to have coverart. I might even subscribe to IGN's insider if they offered an improved collection system.

IGN is ok, but not great, as others have said. Here is my collection there, so you can see what it's like:

I am used to cover art on sites like DVDAficionado and www.listerx.com (manga,) and I really miss it on IGN.
Listerx has been adding games to their site, along with Anime DVDs, Anime Soundtracks, J-Pop, Doujinshii, Anime magazines, etc., but they are only adding games that were originally developed in Japan.

If you have a mac, there is a program called Delicious Library that works for DVDs, CDs, Games, and books. It is a sweet program, I tried the demo after they talked it up on the Screen Savers. Too bad they want $40 for it. Awfully high just to catalog some stuff.
What is cool about it though, if you have a webcam(they said iSight, but I bet others would work), you hold the UPC up to the cam and it scans it. No need for entering any info. Zilch. Pretty sweet.
