Just wondering if anyone has any idea when/if these will get released stateside?
Hopefully we won't have to wait for the American remakes to run their course, before they are made available.
Also, any word on the other 'Ju-On' films in regards to region 1 releases?

Tartan has the U.S. rights to Oldboy. Yahoo says it's getting a limited theatrical run starting March 25th; assuming that's right, I'd expect an R1 DVD by fall.

Fangoria has Dark Water under "future undated". Nothing on Old Boy.

I had to buy this film (early last year!). Thought it was magnificent. This is why I (and many others) go multiregion/region free. I just can't wait. Even when it does come out in the US/UK it's not going to be that cool.

The UK has a 2 disc coming out in February. It will be Region 0.

www.amazon.co.uk are selling it. They'll take the tax off the price for people in the US/Canada.

i havent seen Old Boy yet, so i went ahead and ordered another region disc and it should be here Monday, i hear nothing but great things. i thought Sympathy For Mr Vengence was fantastic so im sure i wont be disappointed.

I honestly did not get what was so great about Old Boy. Everyone I talked to said it was more violent than Sympathy for Mr. Vengence but I didn't think so. I also couldn't really connect to the story like I could in Sympathy. The story for Old Boy was sad but it did not seem to be on the same level as Sympathy. Still a good movie but not as good as Sympathy IMO.
