The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap!!

This comes out next week!! I'll try to find any sale prices and post them here later as I can't access CAG from work, and the price lists in the Bargain Forum here no longer include video games (for the most part). Man, I haven't even finished Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls, and I haven't even STARTED on Kingdom Hearts.. I have a feeling the new Zelda will take precedence though.

Damn, beat me too it. I was getting ready to post a thread on this!

I can't wait for it. Though I'll probably pick it up next week when it's cheapest, and put it on the shelf until I get through Metroid Prime 2.

Should be a great game, it was EGM's game of the month. If i'm remembering the scores correctly it got an 9.0, 9.5, 8.5. The low score review complained about too many fetch quests bogging it down in the middle and the objectives being sometimes unclear but still said the rest of the game was great.

Also, it mentioned that the final boss battle was the hardest in any Zelda game. Not sure I'm looking forward to that part.

I want to get this, but like everybody else I've got a huge backlog of games. I'll probably wait until the next time I'm out of town and get it then.

Well *I* will look forward to that!! *salivation*

I don't like fetch quests, but I don't hate them. When they are there as opposed to actual game content, that's when I get pissed. Had Wind Waker cut back a little on the fetching and had two or three more dungeons it could've been a contender for best game ever made, in my opinion.

Checked cheapassgamer for you and this looks to be the best deal

Outpost.com- $19.99 with free ground shipping. I went ahead and ordered.
http://shop1.outpost.com/product/4327875

It might end up being the same with gamer gift card at best buy, but unfortunately I don't have any and there are none at my local best buy now.

Also found on cheapass:gamer

Best Buy: $29.99
Circuit City: $22.99
Target: $25

So it looks like the two cheapest option for those who have luck with this as it's a YMMV thing and don't mind the hassle is to:

1. Price match CC at BB to save 10%, then use the gamers gift coupon (sometimes they won't allow PM and coupon, sometimes they do).

2. CC accepts competitors coupons, so you could just use the GG coupon there.

Outpost sounds like the way to go. Not gonna get much cheaper than that without a lot of hassle! Thanks, Josh!

The CC price is about equal after tax to the Outpost price after shipping.

Shipping is free at outpost, as long as you select ground. Unless you meant outpost about the same as CC after the GGC coupon and tax. Which is true.

Tax would have been the same anyway... but I just ordered from Outpost and they didn't charge me tax (I guess because there is no Fry's near me). So it was $19.99 all told AND I DON'T HAVE TO GO OUT AND HUNT FOR IT! They're delivering it FREE right too my house!

You might be able to access it through CheapyD.com.

Edit: Oops, nevermind - it doesn't seem to exist anymore. It used to be an alternate address for people who had problems accessing the other due to the "ass" in the URL. It was up within the past month...

Weird, free ground and no tax for me as well. Try again later Pixy, maybe the sites having some difficulties. Might be getting hammered with orders from cheapass now.

I'll just hit Circuit City, it's an extra $1.50 or so which is about 5 minutes of work being at work. Besides, I need to check with the manager if they're done with their Prime 2 display so I can grab that.

I got a chance to play this game at Gamerush. It might very well be the best game ever created. Between this and RE4, January rocks!

So BB is at $30. That is odd and quite a disappointment. I will try to use the gamer coupon at CC then. I still need to finish MP2, Mario 64, and at least FFI

Did you know? The game will still be there after you finish those.

Am I completely off-base when I say that all 2D Zeldas seem almost exactly the same to me? Don't get me wrong; I still play and enjoy them. But it's really like playing the same game over and over again, like the GBA Castlevanias.

Tax is relative to where you live obviously.
Please note that we charge sales tax for AZ, CA, CT, GA, OH, TX, NV,WA and IL.
If there is a Fry's in your state my guess is you'll pay tax. I'm getting charged tax as well $6.93 for shipping, that makes it $29.28 after tax and shipping so I'll likely go to CC and get it there.

Apparently Outpost was taking a big hit after the deal got posted on CAG and who knows where else. Now they've bumped up the price and withdrawn the free shipping. So for those who didn't get an order in early, looks like CC is your best bet.

I got an email from them saying the game was backordered. Is that normal for them to do for pre-releases? They aren't going to try to get out of selling these to us for $20 are they?

That is normal for a preorder.
