Two bits of Tivo news
1) Tivo2Go is here!!! To get on the priority update list, enter your Tivo number at the following site:

2) And from the CES:
"Microsoft took some of the day's spotlight after Chairman Bill Gates said Wednesday that the software giant would work with TiVo Inc. (TIVO) in a deal that would let people transfer television programs recorded on their TiVo set-top boxes to portable media devices running Microsoft operating systems."

I love my Series 1 TiVo but I think TiVo is pretty well screwed now.
Half of their new customers are coming from DirecTV, which introduced (demo) their own box from NDS.
Looks like no CableCard box before next year.
No HD SA TiVo coming.
Generic DVR's
Everything looks negative for TiVo. Which is a shame since TiVo is so great product.
