Alien vs. Predator Blockbuster Exclusive Edition
Source: Ellen Ripley January 6, 2005

Scooper 'Ellen Ripley' sent us cool artwork and details on a Blockbuster Alien vs. Predator exclusive:

I saw a sign up in Blockbuster when I was in there over the weekend and they are getting an EXCLUSIVE limited edition DVD Collector's Set that will include the Widescreen DVD and 2 collectible busts - 1 Alien and 1 Predator! The packaging is absolutely gorgeous and I was able to find a picture of it and the individual busts. It's similar to the Lord of the Rings sets that have been available except that you can ONLY get it at Blockbuster. The busts are also going to be numbered and limited to only 25,000!!! I'll definitely be heading there to pick it up! It comes out on January 25. I also saw that the DVD has an alternate beginning that was never shown in theaters.

Very cool. I'll have to have my GF pick this up with her employee discount.

Pretty cool, but I wouldn't put that movie in my collection even if I was given it.

interesting... doubt the busts will be worth an extra $25 over the movie itself.

Looks like its $32 for me with my GF's employee discount. So Im really paying double for 2 busts (assumig the movie is $16 when it comes out). Not too bad.

The more I look at the busts, the more I think I'll really look at them carefully. They're starting to look like they might be cheap. Maybe I'm spoiled by Weta's work.

My friend mentioned this to me last week. I'm really tempted as an Alien and Predator fan, although i haven't seen the film. The busts like very impressive, and 40 dollars doesn't seem too bad at all.

I thought the same thing...but it was bad.

Waiting for a DC with some more action and less of a Marvel Team Up feel

I like AVP, even though it was PG-13. I don't know if the box set is going to be available at the Blockbusters up here in Canada.

Is it me, or does the mouth of the alien look like the creeper from Jeepers Creepers?
