I'm dying to know if I'm alone on this, so please weigh in... i HATE HATE oddball as a rumble pit game... agree / disagree? I can't stand that no matter how high you are ranked (I'm an 11) there are always a few people who insist on sniping and not playing the game, making it no fun.. ugh

Sounds like you need to find a better hiding spot. I love Oddball, it gives all levels of players a more even chance to win, IMO.

Love oddball as well. I hate assault the most. I'm a level 13.

The main thing that i hate about any of the online stuff in Halo 2 is the leveling up shit, as soon as i get to 14 i get stuck with shitty teammates the next few times out and end up back at a 13. I'm not really anal about it but it's really starting to annoy the fuck out of me.

I can't remember the last time I played oddball. It is definitely few and far between. I like it though, even if it is just to break up the relentless monotany of Flag Zanzibar.

Oddly enough, my game with the highest kills and medals was on Oddball on Lockout. I think I came in 4th but hey, everyone kept clustering in one area, so the plasma grenade and sword kicked some ass.

It's not as bad as the custom game "Dawn of the Dead."

Dawn of the Dead is by far one of the dullest games that several people here enjoy playing for some reason.

I like playing oddball... It breaks up the "kill as many people as you can" feel that you sometimes get in Halo2. I also like playing king of the hill, as that is a great game.

Spider, why no love for DotD? I love that game... pick a place to camp, kill them before they kill you... Heck, I even won it once!

I like Oddball. But I never do rumble pit, so I hardly ever play it. The game type I don't really care for is land grab, or territories. Sometimes it's okay, but most of the time it sucks.

Dawn of the Dead is hit or miss with me. Sometimes it's really fun, and sometimes it's kind of dull.

King of the Hill, Assault, CTF, all cool too. I hope Bungie keeps coming up with new game types. That would be sweet. But I wish they would stop fucking around with the current ones. I hate it when they change the number of players allowed, or take out a game type.

Oddball is fun on maps like Lockout, where it's easy to get to the other side AND there's always the ability of the ball re-setting.

My favorite game type is still Territories, because it mixes the good part of King of the Hill without making side-fights useless. Territories on Big Team Battle I've always liked.

matchmaking Oddball isn't too much fun.

But I have a bunch of custom oddball games that are a blast.

If anyone ever sees me online and I'm in custom games, send me a message. If the room isn't full, more people is never a problem.

Yeah, Oddball is a blast. It's so funny to see the carnage leftover when everyone is heading for the same guy.

I like oddball, it isn't the best in matchmaking, but customs with you guys are always a blast as is king of the hill.

I don't mind it on matchmaking. We usually kick ass on that gametype.
