They're all pretty much the same...OMG NERF!

IGN has a WoW forum, but it's a step backwards.

There's also forums at www.mmorpg.com & www.worldofwar.net

Well, I wouldn't say the VN is that much of a step backwards. At least the VN Boards are moderated. Can't say the same about the Official boards. Plus I've found answers to many of my questions about specific race and classes using their forums.

Maybe because its Tuesday and they take down the servers for 4 hours every Tuesday?

it's not just the downtime. it's also the constant whining and the poor navigation thru the forum.

i found this site and registered.

To be fair, there are frequent login problems on the official boards, server maintenance or no.

While it's "neat" that you can login as one of your characters, with their latest information and everything, it's silly that the forums are so tied into the game servers. Basically any time the game goes down, the forum goes down as well.

That's where I go mainly for quest information:

http://wow.allakhazam.com/

If I have trouble with a quest, I put the game in windowed mode and within 30 seconds allakhazam helps me out

I think allakhazam might have a WoW forum - but I've not really investigated it much.

As a side note one of them (alla or the official boards) had a post from a lvl 60 character who killed the gryph master in one of the Goblin towns twice (yes, twice) and was whining that all the Goblin cities hate him now. I somehow don't think you can reasonably claim ignorance at that level of the game...

I've always used VN boards for mmorpg's, but like any mmorpg board, be careful, some people just go there to complain, and you can lose enthusiasm about a game from reading the boards too much.

that's basically what happened w/ me at the WoW forum. there are so many complaints (some justified, some just being greedy, etc). i really like playing the game, but i feel like if i read too many threads there, i might as well quit playing.

however, if you can find them, they do have good faqs. just wading thru to find them is tiresome.

what is VN?
