Do Trey Parker and Matt Stone still do the voices in South Park?
I dont watch this cartoon anymore, I stopped after the 5th season because everything got too stupid, so I just watch my DVD seasons.
But I caught an episode the other night and I noticed that their voices sound NOTHING like the last seasons I saw. Stan sounds too nasaly, Cartman is too clear and soft and Kyle sounded a bit higher pitched. What happened to their voices? I figured over time if the voices would change it would be to a lower gruffer voice because of Matt and Trey aging.

I think they've changed slightly over the seasons. The same thing happened in the Simpsons if you go back and watch some earlier episodes. But, yes, it is still them doing the voices.

Matt and Trey have said that they have tweaked the main characters' voices so it seems that they're "hitting puberty" (since they're getting older).

Seriously, if you used to like the show, you should give it another chance. Part of the thing that's so great about this show in recent years is that a current event can happen and they'll have an episode about it the following week, pretty much unheard of for a sitcom, especially a animated one. I have the 4 seasons they've released so far on dvd and I think the stuff they do now blows away what went on in the first 2 seasons. As far it being too stupid, if the pilot episode of your show involves a satellite coming out of a 8 year old's ass, I think the level of stupidity was very apparent from the beginning.

I've seen them have a current event element within 2 days. Two days after they caught Saddam Hussain, there was Saddam on South Park with the image taken only tow days before. Of course they probably had the whole episode completed with pre-war Saddam so they only had to change his face but it was pretty amazing that the news story broke just 2 days before.

I've heard rumors that season 9 might be the last, but they said this after they finished Team America. So they were probably tired of doing everything, so hopefully they will keep making them. As long as their funny.
