Slap Her, She's French - retitled/cable premiere 1/9
Fairly early in 2002, I saw a screening of a teen movie called "Slap Her, She's French", starring "Coyote Ugly"'s Piper Perabo - the movie was never released (although it was released overseas), however, either to theaters or DVD. I was reading the latest EW and noticed an ad for a movie called "She Gets What She Wants", airing on ABC Family on 1/9 - at 9pm Central, I believe. Same movie, different title.
The picture stars Perabo as a French exchange student who moves into the home of a Texas family whose daughter is the popular head cheerleader. She proceeds to take over the daughter's popularity, piece-by-piece. It's kind of a rip of "Drop Dead Gorgeous" (which I liked better), but Perabo's performance is very good. Nothing noteworthy, but it's decent and offers some laughs.

(Just a side note, the DVD was released - granted, not in R1 - but released nonetheless.)

I've seen the movie listed on a lot of local actor's resumes, but didn't know anything about it beyond that (and since it was often listed between "Walker, Texas Ranger" and "Serving Sara", I didn't have high hopes).
