It's on FOX: "Who's Your Daddy?"

Taken from CNN.com:
New Fox show: Adoptee IDs dad for $100K
Idea meets with protests from adoption community

Wednesday, December 15, 2004 Posted: 2:24 PM EST (1924 GMT)

NEW YORK (AP) -- The Fox network said Tuesday it will air a special next month, "Who's Your Daddy?", where a daughter given up for adoption as an infant attempts to guess the identity of her birth father for a $100,000 prize.

Activists in the adoption community immediately attacked the special, which will air for 90 minutes on January 3.

"This is really perverse," said Adam Pertman, executive director of the Evan P. Donaldson Adoption Institute, a research and policy organization. "It takes a deeply personal and important experience and turns it into a money-grubbing game show. I think it is despicable."

A Fox network spokesman would not comment on the special, referring all calls to the producers, who said people shouldn't judge before watching.

True, but do you really expect more from FOX? Seems to me that it's business as usual for them.

That said, I may tune in anyway.

They were talking(making fun) of this show on a morning radio show here.

They said "the girl should just try to sleep with each of them and whichever one won't is her father"

Some of these reality shows are truly sick and I can't believe they get produced and people watch them.

Eh, it doesn't surprise me. Just looking at how many people here watch these ridiculous shows demonstrates they are in demand.

As tacky as this is, this girl and her real dad DID sign up for it.

Hey - we're talking about FOX. It could have been "When Biological Daddies Attack."

At least it's only on one night, for 90 minutes.

Look, not only are these shows still relatively popular no matter what people say, they're CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP for FOX and others. They don't have to pay actors or writers to do these show. If they do have to use them it's still cheaper thana standard DRAMA or SITCOM. With that said, when I saw Jimmey Kimmel doing a bit on this show I thought it was a joke. I was tripped out to hear it was real.
