According to Jack Skeleton (who should know), no, there is no I, Robot SE in the near future.

Go region-free and pick up the two-disc SE from either R2 or R3. I'm getting the R3 one for Xmas. Can't wait, because I loved this movie in the theatre.

You just know that once you buy the one disc version, they will announce the two disc SE.

If you read how he wrote his reply carefully, the truth is out there

"also, I, Robot is Not NOT going to be given this double dipping treatment "

My R3 is en route to me- virtually every region in the world except Region 1 has the 2-disc release.

Screw 'em.

I know I've read that I, Robot, Man On Fire & Day After Tomorrow were sure bets for SEs in the last month or so. With all of them 2 disc elsewhere how can we be so sure I, Robot or the others won't be SEd as soon as we've got the wrap off?

I was mad as well when they announce 1 Disc versions but I wasn't that upset to learn that they will indeed include DTS. If we ever get a 2 disc of the previous titles you mention above they might not include DTS.

To me any title that has DTS and a good Video transfer is good enough NOT to upgrade.

The R3 version has dts and the extras. There's no reason why they can't do this for us. My parents are getting me the R3 for Xmas, so I'm not sweating it, but it still means more ordering overseas for future titles that I shouldn't really have to.

Where is that thread? I was going to be an ass and originally point the OP to that, but I couldn't find it.

I think search isn't working the best... but here's the thread:

Is there a 2 disc of Day After Tomorrow in the works?

This movie seems like it would do well with a SE

It's a pretty smart movie by the way.

According to IGN DVD, in Japan, there's a limited edition two-disc set in a case in the shape of Sonny's head. here's a pic of it:

Be prepared to shell out 18,000 yen (or $200) for it though.

so you can have an alien head sitting next to a robotic head. Yes, the company is really smart.

I also will not be double dipping on this title if it becomes available in Region 1. Only way I would double dip, is if they include that cool bust of Sonny as the DVD case. This was a decent flick, it was your average summer film. But it wasn't anything amazingly spectacular.

So that's why I bought the 2 disc edition first so there wouldn't be any double dipping! Man On Fire on the other hand....*sigh*

I'm perfectly happy with the single disc version. It has DTS 5.1 and DD 5.1 audio and anamorphic widescreen transfer. What else do you need to enjoy a dvd?????

I'm looking at this and I'm looking at your signature. It freaked me out.
