how to trade-in or sell an Xbox?

My younger brother is looking to trade-in or sell his Xbox & games (& possibly get a PS2) & is looking to me for advice. Unfortunately, aside from the occasional freecell or spider solitaire , I am completely out of the video game scene - so I turn to you folks.

He took his system & 15 games to an EB today & was offered $129.50 for the whole thing plus a free $50 EA sports game. Or he could trade just the XBox for $70. Should I let him do it? I found this thread: http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=397735 It looks like he may have just missed a good deal. How often do special trade-in deals pop up? Would it be wise to tell him to wait a few months for another similar deal - or is it a once a year thing? He also hinted around about me putting it all up on eBay for him. He generally takes good care of his stuff, but I'm not that eager to vouch for someone else's things. Seems like it could turn into a big hassle if whoever won the bidding had any kind of problem with any of it... Are there any other trade-in stores he should check out? Thanks for any input.

eBay. Best way to go by Far. Make a nice listing with pictures, etc... and you shoudl do much better than 130.

Try GameRush if you have one...

depends on the games he has as to whether that's a decent trade or not.

$129.50 and a free $50 EA game doesn't sound too bad... but I'd definitely check gamerush
