Will Affleck ever bounce back?

While Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms....what do u think is gonna happen to his future?

Don't Care?
Continue a string of flops and continue to be hired back by hollywood?
Disappear from the scene?
Return to the A-list? (was he ever there?)
Other?

Not unless he's in Quentin Tarantino's next movie.

You would think with all the threads & posts about Affleck on these boards he is the hottest star in Hollywood. What is DVDTalk's obsession w/ Affleck?

I'm sure as he bounces from Jlo's ass to Jennifer Garner's and spends the $8 mil+ for all the flops you people hate he cares what a couple of fanboys think.

Bounce back from what? Sure he's had a couple of flops, but honestly all the media attention around Gigli and the recent bomb of Surviving Christmas makes things sound a lot worse then they are. Paycheck last year made close to its budget back (not counting advertising). Dissapointing yes, and a somewhat forgettable film, but nothing really damaging. Daredevil made 100+ million dollars. So did Sum of All Fears. Changing Lanes was fairly successful. Honestly, i don't think the last 2 years for Affleck were as bad as it seems.

I think Ben will eventually bounce back once he finds a decent script. He should take advice from his pal Matt Damon on choosing which movie to do. Matt has been so much more successful except for the film All the Pretty Horses.

He should do another Jack Ryan - that'd be a quick fix imo. But realistically he should start over with some indi-films, than take smaller co-starring roles in bigger films, and than eventually start headlining a few.

For a guy who's rabbit dancing with Jennifer Garner, I think life is just dandy for him.

He needs to make a movie with Oliver Stone about the life of Scott Peterson, with himself in the title role. (There is a resemblance.)

Nice.

I like Ben Affleck, hopefully he'll start acting in movies I can like too.

I'd go with Skeet Ulrich in the role, but he seems to have disappeared.

Not my favorite actor, but I've seen a few movies with him in it and I didn't hate him. I don't really think he will ever be a big box office pull like Harrison Ford, but I hope he does make a come back in smaller indy films. Those I have seen him in that I liked were smaller movies.

As much as people talk sh*& about him, he has done "some" good movies. (Bounce, Chasing Amy, Changing Lanes).

But he has become the Bob DeNiro of script selection. Easily two of the worst at picking awful awful movies to be in.

3 years later, and what do you know...He still hasn't bounced back!

In the late 90's, early 2000's he was very famous, and I don't think he'll ever regain that.
