Space: Above & Beyond in 2005

OK, it's amateur night at the Apollo

This news is apparently 2 days old, but the Digital Bits is reporting in its Rumor Mill that Space: Above & Beyond along with Lone Gunman will be coming to DVD in 2005.

This set will look good next to my other single season space dramas. Let's hope it'll be in 5.1 This series should sound great in 5.1.

I loved Space: Above & Beyond. I thought it was a very well written show with some solid acting and great visual effects.

I'm definitely getting this DVD set.

I hope this is true and comes to pass. [T.O.]I love me some SAaB[/T.O.]. I was just about to bite the bullet and buy a bootleg set too. Glad I waited.

The release of Lone Gunmen makes me think of Freaky Links. I don't want that on DVD or anything, I'm just saying...

As I mentioned in the other thread, I can't wait for this to be released so I can finally chuck my VHS tapes which are worn out.

I was a big fan of SAAB. I remember when it was on that it aired on Sunday nights, and at the time, volunteered at the local KofC Bingo, and I remember working there and in the back of my mind, thinking about what I was missing on SAAB. I've since caught most of the episodes on reruns on Sci-Fi, but it'll be nice to have the whole epic series on DVD to watch in order.

I remember I loved the look of the show. I was hoping that Lucas would have used some of the same visual styles in SAAB in the Star Wars prequals. But alas, we got the sleak silver look of the Naboo cruisers.

There's talk that that set may include some of the X-Files episodes as well.

Let's hope it contains their last X Files episode so I don't have to waste money on X Files season nine for one episode.
