I think Joey's new gig is just the turn this show needs: action occuring elsewhere with other people. Hopefully, it allows for a lot of new characters.

Pretty funny, but the scene with Joey and Michael a read-through totally telegraphed the pay-off with Joey having the hots for his TV daughter. Although maybe the problem is just that I went into this episode with the "benefit" of having seen a teaser from NBC's Spoiler Promo Department.
