VHS to DVD Recorder: American-made?
I would like to buy a stand alone unit which can be connected to our TV. It should have the ability to play our family home vhs videos and at the same time, to record them to DVD (not piracy, just our family videos). It should also have the ability to have a camcorder hooked up to record on disc as well. An editing and chapter set feature would be a plus and most importantly (and not intending to offend anyone)...made in the USA. Can anybody offer any good suggestions? Thank you!

I know, I know. Just wanted to try and do my tiny part in helping the American factory worker (I just saw the ANTI-Wal-Mart Documentary on PBS). So, does this mean what I want actually does not exist from a native company?

The only model I've been able to find (DVD recorder only) is the Pioneer DVR310 that Target says is made in USA (click the Additional Info tab). I haven't been able to verify that from Pioneer's site or its manual which is printed in China.
