Films with long stretches of no dialogue

For some reason, I just love it when movies can go a long time without any dialogue. Here are a few off the top of my head:

Eraserhead
Elephant
The Isle
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (the beginning)

What other films have you seen that do this?

The bank robbery scene from Rififi has a stretch of about 15 minutes with no dialogue whatsoever.

Considering that van Sant wholly rips off the techniques from another director, I could hardly call Gerry "King" of anything.

How about a film with NO actors and NO dialogue? In fact, 4/5ths of the film has zero people in it!

I meant king in the sense that's its difficult to beat when it comes to long stretches of no dialogue, nothing more. I wasn't aware originality was one of the OP's original qualifications.

I'm certainly not defending the quality of the film since I hated it myself.

It's not always a good thing. Depends on how it's handled.

Alien Vs. Predator, for instance...

How about The Bear by Jean-Jacques Annuad. There's barely any dialogue in that entire movie.

The Naked Prey (1966) - starring Cornel Wilde

I'm still waiting for it to land on DVD.

The 1952 film THE THIEF starring Ray Milland relied on sound effects and music - but not a single word of dialogue.

Just like The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West is also full of long pauses and no dialogue.

The Road Warrior is another one. After the opening voice-over, there's a pretty long stretch were no one says anything.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one that hated that movie.

I just recently watched Carl Th. Dreyer's Vampyr, and that comes to mind----maybe like ten lines of dialogue for the entirity of the flick.

Le Trou (released by Criterion).
Not much talking during the jailbreak, which is like half the movie.

Big Night, especially the final scene (which I won't spoil).
