Films with long stretches of no dialogue
For some reason, I just love it when movies can go a long time without any dialogue. Here are a few off the top of my head:
Eraserhead
Elephant
The Isle
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (the beginning)
What other films have you seen that do this?

How about a film with NO actors and NO dialogue? In fact, 4/5ths of the film has zero people in it!

I'm certainly not defending the quality of the film since I hated it myself.

The 1952 film THE THIEF starring Ray Milland relied on sound effects and music - but not a single word of dialogue.

Just like The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West is also full of long pauses and no dialogue.
The Road Warrior is another one. After the opening voice-over, there's a pretty long stretch were no one says anything.

I just recently watched Carl Th. Dreyer's Vampyr, and that comes to mind----maybe like ten lines of dialogue for the entirity of the flick.
