Do you think Halo 2 will hit bargain bin soon?
Considering that a lot of people bought this first hand, do you think the demand for this game would drop significantly in the next few months?

I don't know.. Halo 1 hasn't been on the bargain bin since it was released 3 yrs ago. It should be in the Platinum Line by now for $19.99 but still selling of $29.99. MS is draining every $$ out to their only hit!

I do think you may be able to pick it up in a trade easier than other games since there will be so many floating around.

Hmmmm.....considering Halo 2 sales on the first day itself is 2.38 million units.
Thats a damn good number btw.
If the first Halo sold a total of 5 million in 3 years (include the year the price drop to 29.99 on Nov 2003)...hmmmm......i think i can wait that long......hehehehehe

If you're on the fence on whether to get this or not like I was, then GET IT. After reading on here, I went and rented it, played for like 3 hours, and just went and bought it. Fantastic game, and I'm not usually anything but a sports gamer.

Now is the more "valuable" time to have it, if you want to play Live with it, just from the fact that your "friends" list is probably 90% playing this game, which they won't be 2 years from now. Now is the best time to find a game with someone you "know" instead of some attention/stat whoring 12-year-old in 2007.

It may not hit the bargain bin but there will be a lot of people trading it in and selling for cheap on amazon and ebay etc. The game is 10-15 hours long and only a fraction of XBOX playes have live (1M in the US) so I'd expect people to finish it and trade it in or sell their used copies.

Personally, I think it'll drop down to a lower price since it's already sold a huge number of copies. Halo was a huge seller when it first hit, but it's been a consistently strong seller, and as the Xbox library has expanded, other titles have gained massive sales as well. Halo 2 will probably drop off in sales after X-mas and then will hit the low price point. I mean, after all, how many more people can buy it?

Microsoft said themselves, they are losing money on every Xbox sold but is banking on the software sales to make profits.
Halo and Halo 2 are easily THE cash cow for them which means a drop in price is highly unlikely. In 3 years from now (or even before), we may be seeing the next offering in hardware i.e. Xbox 2. This is the time you could expect to see Halo 2 in the bargain bin.
