$5.99 DVD Sale at J&R

http://www.jr.com/JRSectionView.proc...=email.599dvds

they have some other "sales" if you click "Movies" up top, $6.99 Drama & Action dvds, and you can sort for price for other categorys..some of them in the 5.99 sale are decently priced, shipping isn't overly expensive, ~4.45 for 4 titles..only collect tax in NY..

I have almost every title. I need to quit buying everything when it first comes out so I could clean up on these deals.

No, there isn't. Look closer. It's the movie that was made fun of on Mystery Science Theater, the Brain that Wouldn't Die. It is NOT the MST episode itself.

Just got back. All they had was Training Day and a Few of the Police Academy sequels.

Waste of time.

Wow, this is a coincidence! I just placed my first order with J&R on November 4th . . . six days later, here it is from NY to CA, shipped ground.

But that's not the best part of this. I got a letter included with my shipment welcoming me to J&R and saying:
As a way of saying "thank you" for your patronage, we have a special offer for you. If you purchase any accessories related to this order within the next 90 days we will waive our shipping charges on that purchase (this applies to ground shipping only)."

You have to call the order in, it can't be done online. This particular time I had ordered just 2 DVDs — unavailable anywhere else (believe me I looked!) — so the combined shipping of 3.45 was peanuts to be able to get these two titles. You Robert Newton fans (argh! argh! argh!) might want to check out the 7.99 2-DISK ADVENTURES OF LONG JOHN SILVER Platinum Disk Set. Don't get the 4.99 ones, they are misadvertised; get the 7.99 one which has all 13 adventures. Enjoy!
