Q about "Akira" Limited Edition (Tin Box)??

Does anybody know if there is actually a number anywhere on the Akira Limited Edition (the Tin Box one)?? I was searching for all the numbers on the few Limited Edition DVDs which I own and to my surprise, I could not find an actual number anywhere on this one. Weird or not? Or am I overlooking something?

No, it wasn't numbered at all. It was limited in that the entire first production run of the set (however large that was) was in the tin case, and subsequent runs were not, but it wasn't a limited/numbered kind of deal.

I remember reading that the tins were produced in a run of 100,000 or so.

Don't know how accurate that is - I bought 4 at the time of release, One to open & watch, 1 from Amazon with the tattoo thing (sealed) and 1 from Best Buy (sealed) and I ran across a mint opened copy for 13.00 at a used DVD store back in the day. I saw one recently at retail in a Sam Goodys for just under 40.00 new & sealed. That was actually the only one I'd seen for a long time since they came out.

Yeah it's not numbered.

I got mine from Amazon and bought another copy from Best Buy (they sold out by the end of the release week).
