they should get Dave Mustaine to come in & do a commentary

and hopefully, the deleted scenes include more of that scene between Lars & Mustaine.

Great doco! I'll be picking this up for sure. Even if you aren't a fan of the band, it's an interesting inside look at a huge commercial band.

It's my favorite movie of 2004 so far, that's not saying much though.

You Could Win A Trip To Meet Metallica!

That's right! You can win a trip to San Francisco, CA to meet the band at the Metallica HQ! If you purchase a specially-marked DVD copy of Paramount's Metallica: Some Kind of Monster between January 25th and May 3rd, and inside the package you find a "Golden Ticket Instant Win Message," you and a friend will each be on your way to meet METALLICA on a 3-day/2-night extravaganza in beautiful San Francisco, CA. (No purchase necessary. Age limits and restrictions apply. Please see contest rules for further details and alternate method of entry. Game only open to legal residents of U.S. (including its territories, possessions, and Puerto Rico) and Canada, age 18 or over, as of date of entry, and is void wherever prohibited by law) Good luck!

Is the 2 Disc really that good?

I've been a Metallica Fan for a long time and I can honestly say that for the last several years they haven't been that great.

IGN gave it high marks with the exception of video since it was shot on MiniDV for the most part. I think they gave it 8/10.

The movie itself was pretty good, like I said earlier it was my favorite movie of 2004.
