I love 'em, too, but I think there's already a thread dedicated to these releases.

Why not include Gone with the Wind?

It really belongs with the rest of the 2-disc SE's. It just happens to require 2 extra discs due to the film length and amount of extras... Also, don't forget about The Lon Chaney Collection from last year and the upcoming The Buster Keaton Collection coming on Dec. 7. Both are 2-disc.

And there's their cartoon sets:

Looney Tunes: Golden Collection (4-disc)
Looney Tunes: Golden Collection Vol. 2 (4-disc)
Tom & Jerry: Vol. 1 (2-disc)

(Including the handful of 4-disc releases they've done, I have 15 2-disc releases, plus the two Looney Tunes 4-disc sets)

Looks like you have Blade Runner listed twice on the rumored title list.

I doubt they'll do a Special Edition of Batman without doing one of Batman Returns.

Once they're interviewing Burton and Keaton why do it only for Batman?

It'll be a lot cheaper producing both Special Editions at the same time.

You should also include the Chaplin 2-disc sets.

I have 16 Warner 2-disc sets. Plus the 2 4-disc Looney Tune Golden collections.

wasn't the Blade Runner release supposed to be a 3 or 4-disc release? i remember Ridley Scott talking about how the release would have 3 different cuts.. but of course, then the whole thing got shelved.

The latest word from thedigitalbits IIRC*, was the rights issue was so messy, the best they could hope for was a remaster of the current DVD, with a second disc of some extras. Even that is better than the current disc.

I think Warner has actually confirmed that "An American in Paris" will be getting a 2-disc special edition release in 2006.

I was actually sad to see Seven Brides for Seven Brothers in a keepcase instead of a digipack.

I really hope they will continue to release the Harry Potter films in digipacks...

I wish Warner do a 2-disc SE of these of my favorite.

Excalilbur - The current bare-bone is not in corrected OAR.

Ladyhawke - Commentary with director Richard Donner and stars Matthew Broderick and Rutger Hauer would be nice.

The Road Warrior - Again with commentary by director George Miller and film star Mel Gibson.

You forgot to mention the 2-disc sets that many forgot Warner did. The ones I mean are the two disc snapper sets. I don't know how many there were, but I own two of them:

JFK: The Oliver Stone Collection (Not the new version)
Any Given Sunday: The Oliver Stone Collection

These titles came in Snappers, with the second disc packed in a sleeve, which was enclosed in one of the folds of the snapper case.

Isn't Collateral Dreamworks? I bet in the near future the Oliver Stone ones will be in keep cases. I would bet on Alexander as well.

I have the first 29 on the list. I'll get the rest when they become available for enrollment at Columbia House.

I also have Harry Potter And The Sorceror's Stone, Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, Terminator 3, The Last Samurai, Mystic River (3-disc) and Any Given Sunday.

I had The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions but got rid of them due to the upcoming Matrix Trilogy Box Set.

OP,

This is really a good idea to creat such a thread for Warner 2D SE's. I really appreciate your effort. I have seen other members made threads like "Fox Studio Classics", "Universal Franchise Collection". I wonder if you are willing to do the multi-disc SE lists for other studios?

Wouldn't the Superman SE fall into this category too? It is a 2 disker.
