Pixar's Cars Teaser

http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/cars/

Just in time for the Incredibles. The first one directed by John Lasseter since Toy Story 2.

I don't know yet, the graphics looks amazing, but the cars look like the cars from the Aardman Animation Chevron(?) commercials.

I don't know - this one seems like it's just a film to promote a crappy video game that should come out around the same time. I haven't seen them yet obviously, but Incredibles and Cars seem like they could be a step backwards for Pixar. It's hard to imagine a studio coming out with an endless stream of good films and I almost expect them to put out a turkey or two at some point. Regardless, I'll see it.

I'll go see a Pixar movie regardless. I don't expect it to top the previous one. I just like to be entertained and Pixar consistently delivers.

Is this Pixar's last film for Disney?

yes

Disney noted in its statement that it owns rights to all the Pixar movies, as well as two more animated features yet to be delivered -- "The Incredibles" due this year and "Cars", expected in 2005.

Can't wait to see the teaser tonight. My first though is a worrisome on a movie about cars.. but I felt the same way with Nemo and that one almost beat out Toy Story 2 as my favorite Pixar flick. Oh, and that this is John Lasseter's baby project makes me feel better too.

Does the Cars movie remind anyone of the old cartoon of the Cab car and his "son" who doesnt want to be like his dad and ends up turning into a hot-rod? I thought it was a remake of that when I saw clips on TV...

Looks kind of different, but PIXAR hasn't disappointed me yet. I'm looking forward to seeing this trailer when I go see The Incredibles, as it's gonna sound a lot better than listening to it in Quicktime.

Cool trailer. I'm surprised I didn't hear the Gary Numan song in there.

Judging by the fact that the "pit crew" was made up of trucks, it looks like there are no human characters at all. Interesting.

Yes. The Little Blue Coupe, by Disney, is the title if I remember correctly. The eyes of the cars in the Cars trailer reminded me of it immediately, although the cars themselves remind me of the those in Chevron commercials.

BTW, Disney uses the Chevron cars in a little entertainment bit that you watch while standing in line for the Autopia ride. It's cute.

This teaser was highly disappointing. None of the jokes were funny. The hick tow truck was annoying. The racing scenes weren't exciting. And they used Greenday.

I despair that this film will not be on par with any of the other Pixar films.

How people can be saying this movie's going to be bad, based on a 30 second teaser of a movie that won't be completed for months, is beyond me.
